A PLC splitter is not only a split ratio on a quotation sheet. The package format, connector type, cable length and installation location can all change how the product is prepared for FTTH, ODN, ISP and telecom distribution projects.
Buyers can speed up review by grouping splitter requirements with the related box, ODF, pigtail, adapter and drop cable items. This helps the supplier see whether the splitter is intended for a distribution box, rack, terminal box or cabinet.

- Split ratio: 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, 1x32 or 2xN according to the passive optical network design.
- Package type: bare fiber, mini steel tube, ABS box, LGX cassette or rack-mount format.
- Connector and polish: SC, LC or FC connector, with UPC or APC as required by the network.
- Fiber type: G657A1, G657A2 or G652D according to project specification.
- Cable length: input and output fiber length, or pigtail length when connectorized.
- Installation point: distribution box, terminal box, ODF, rack, cabinet or splice closure.
