Core Specification Fields
Most fiber optic RFQs should confirm connector type, polish type, fiber type, cable diameter, cable jacket, length, color, quantity and packing requirement.
Common Examples
- Patch cords: LC/SC/FC/ST, UPC/APC, OS2/OM3/OM4, 2.0mm or 3.0mm, PVC or LSZH, custom length.
- MTP/MPO cables: fiber count, polarity, gender, connector type, breakout style, trunk or harness length.
- PLC splitters: split ratio, package type, connector, input/output cable length and fiber type.
- ODF and patch panels: rack size, port count, adapter type, splice tray, module box or cassette requirement.
Why Specifications Affect Quotation
Two items with the same product name can have different connector polish, fiber type, insertion loss requirement, package and accessory set. Specific RFQs reduce mismatched quotations and improve buyer comparison.
