Why a Line Schedule Gets Better Quotes
Many custom fiber cable assembly RFQs fail because several different cables are described in one sentence. A supplier then has to guess connector pairs, polish, fiber mode, cable diameter, length, color, label and packing rules. A line schedule turns the request into a reviewable table.
For distributors, data center cabling teams, FTTH contractors and OEM buyers, the line schedule is also useful after the first order. It keeps sample approval, bulk order and repeat order information tied to the same product definition.

Common RFQ Mistakes
- Only naming the connector: LC, SC or MPO is not enough without polish, fiber mode and cable construction.
- Mixing lengths in one row: one row with multiple lengths often creates quotation and packing confusion.
- Leaving labels until later: labels, barcodes and carton marks affect production review and repeat-order consistency.
- Ignoring related parts: adapters, panels, pigtails, cassettes and splitters may need to match the same connector and fiber mode.
- No revision control: samples, drawings and bulk orders should share a clear version reference.
