TIA’s February 2026 standards announcement records the call for interest for the data-center AI addendum. Because the work is in development, an RFQ should reference the buyer’s applicable drawings, standards requirements and acceptance criteria rather than assume future requirements.

  2. Keep each endpoint explicit. Identify the buyer-specified end A and end B, connector and polish details, fiber requirement and assembly role.
  3. Attach the channel reference. For multi-fiber paths, provide the applicable buyer-approved mapping, polarity or port-map reference. A connector name alone is not a mapping instruction.
  4. Separate the commercial schedule. List length, quantity, labels, packing request and destination by line item.
  5. Give only relevant connected context. Include buyer-specified panel, cassette, ODF or equipment references when they affect the assembly handover; do not ask a supplier to infer a topology from a market headline.
